Indian Army Conducts Mock Drill At Key LAC Hill To Tackle Chinese PLA

Indian Army Mock Drill LAC : Indian Army personnel are practising warfare at a mountainous place 15 thousand feet high amid the ongoing tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. In military language, this mountainous area is called Integrated Defended Locality (IDL). The temperature here on the morning of October 9 is at -5 degree Celsius and in the next two months, the mercury will be at -25 degree Celsius. In these activities being done to improve the fighting skills, soldiers prepare for the situation of war and react like the battlefield.

The IDL is a combination of defense areas of the Indian Army, consisting of deep moats and stone bunkers. A company or 120 soldiers of the Indian Army are stationed at each such place. This war exercise of the soldiers is part of the demonstration of Plan 190. Under this, soldiers undergo rigorous and rigorous exercises, exercises and training in fighting techniques without weapons to prepare the body. The jawans present near the LAC do this exercise every three hours every day. Before that he does 10 minutes of yoga and meditation.

Tawang Brigade Commander Brigadier Vijay Jagtap says, ‘It keeps them physically fit, mentally alert and helps them to face the battle at high altitude in such difficult weather.’ It is just 10 minutes away from Bum La. Indian and Chinese military commanders hold meetings in Bum La. There are more than a dozen such defense sectors in Tawang sector alone.

 

In the defense sector, there is a separate place to keep weapons, ammunition. Along with this, there is also a monitoring center, through which the smallest activities on the LAC are monitored. Apart from this, there is also a place for medicine, cooking and living of soldiers. Its chief is the Company Commander of the Indian Army, that is, an officer of the rank of Major. This officer has the responsibility of fighting the war as well as taking care of the soldiers posted here.

Here the soldiers are showing how the war will take place and how it will be fought from this place. Company commanders are fighting a war in this bunker. There is a small surveillance screen in Major Johnson’s bunker, which shows the movements of enemy soldiers on the radar. On a large screen, information about the current situation of the area is available through the quadcopter. Apart from this, some units are preparing minefields (explosive areas) for enemy soldiers in front of the defense areas of the army. He informed that there are also some units of artillery, which are equipped with computers to drop shells on the enemies.

Special logistics have been provided to the soldiers posted at high altitudes, so that there is no ill effect on their health. Tension between India and China continues in eastern Ladakh, but the deployment of troops on the LAC has increased. In the ongoing tension between the two countries, the army has intensified maneuvers and training. Major Johnson said, ‘There is a lot of turmoil during the war. Think of such a situation at night. We will fight this war with the help of underground defence…’ He said, ‘But I am responsible for all the turmoil that happens here and no matter from where the enemy strikes, his attack will be foiled.’
