Flight Lieutenant Parul Bharadwaj , The First Woman Pilot To Fly The Mi-17 V5 Chauffer
Flight Lieutenant Parul Bharadwaj has become the first woman pilot in the country to fly the Mi-17 V5 Chauffer . This is the first time when all crew members of a Chauffers are women. In addition to Bharadwaj (Captain) in this crew members, Amaan Nidhi (Flying Officer ) is the female pilot of IAF, who is from Jharkhand. Hina Jaswal(Flight Lieutenant ) from Chandigarh is the first female flight engineer of Air Force.
The pilots had done their training at the Helicopter Training School at Air Force Station Hakimpet followed by advanced training at Air Force Station Yelahanka
The helicopter was certified by Squadron Leader Richa Adhikari the unit Engineering officer.
Along with this, it became first ‘ ALL WOMEN CREW ‘ part of the three country , who blew up a moderate lift helicopter. All the world crews have to fly from the aircraft under combat exercises. All of them flew from South Western Air Command and landed.
