Bhubaneswar in Odisha has become the first city in India to achieve 100% vaccination coverage against Corona. Along with this, one lakh migrant workers have also been given the first dose of corona vaccine in the capital of Odisha. The vaccination campaign against Corona is going on in full swing in the country.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation had set a target to vaccinate all the residents of the city by 31 July. Meanwhile, Bhubaneshwar Municipal Corporation’s South-East Regional Deputy Commissioner Anshuman Rath said that a total of 9,07,000 people above the age of 18 years have been vaccinated, including 31,000 health workers, 33 thousand frontline workers, in the age group of 18-45 years. 5,17,000 people and 3,20,000 people above the age of 45 years.

To speed up the vaccination campaign here, 55 vaccine centers were set up in the city. Of these, 30 were built within primary health centers and community centres. At least 10 drive-thru vaccination facilities were set up in the city.
In addition, 15 vaccination centers were set up inside schools for the elderly and disabled. At present, the first dose of Kovid is being given to pregnant women at many centers.
