Security forces have got great success in Sopore of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir and have killed two terrorists in the encounter. However, the operation is not over and the search operation is still going on in the area. Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JK Police) are jointly running a joint operation.
IG Vijay Kumar of Jammu and Kashmir Police said, ‘One of the slain terrorists is Fayaz War, the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who is attacking common people and security forces. He was involved in many attacks and murders. The last time he carried out a terrorist incident in North Kashmir.
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) top commander Fayaz Ahmad Var, carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh, was killed by security forces in the Sopore encounter. Although the identity of the second terrorist has not been identified yet, but it is being told that he was also associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The security forces had received information about the hiding of terrorists in the Warpora area of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir late in the evening. After this the security forces surrounded the entire area and started the search operation. After this the terrorists started firing and then the security forces also retaliated.
