India is now going to help them by giving Corona virus vaccine to their friendly countries. On the supply of Coronavirus vaccines, the Ministry of External Affairs said that India announced supply of Covid-19 vaccines to Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Seychelles from Wednesday under grant-in-aid.
The ministry said that it is awaiting necessary regulatory approval in relation to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius. The Ministry of External Affairs said that keeping in mind the domestic requirements, India will supply Kovid-19 vaccines to allied countries in a phased manner in the coming week, month.
The ministry said India had supplied hydroxychloroquine, ramdesvir and paracetamol tablets as well as diagnostic kits, ventilators, masks, gloves and other medical supplies to a large number of countries during the first pandemic. The ministry said that as a continuous effort, India will continue to supply vaccines to countries around the world.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that first one million doses of Kovishield prepared by Serum Institute of India (SII) will be supplied to Maldives. The Maldives government firstly plans to vaccinate its health workers, other warriors and policemen who are leading the fight against the Corona epidemic.
The Brazilian government has already prepared aircraft to bring the vaccine from India. The Government of South Africa has stated that it is likely to receive the first batch of vaccine from India in the first week of February 2021. After this, they will start giving vaccines to 10 percent of their population.
