EXPECTED CUT-OFF CDS-2 2019

UPSC has successfully conducted CDS 2 2019 on September 8 2019 all over the Nation. CDS is an examination for all those graduate students who want to join the Indian Armed Forces.

It recruit candidates for Indian Army, Indian Navy & Indian Air Force.  Regardless of their subjects i.e., arts, commerce or science a graduate student is eligible to give the examination.

As per their eligibility students has to select the institutions they want to get admit in. These institutions are IMA, AFA, INA & OTA.

CDS Examination is divided into three papers .The first paper is of English, second is of General knowledge and third paper is of Mathematics and the complete CDS paper consist of 340 Multiple choice questions .Those who choose to go for INA, IMA and AFA has to give all the three paper and for OTA Mathematics is not obligatory.

Since the CDS 2 2019 examination is over we’ve done our subject analysis and based on that it was found out that paper was a moderate- difficult one . Those candidates who would clear the examination after securing equal or more than the cut off marks will be qualified for the next phase of the examination i.e. SSB interviews. It is mandatory for the students to secure the sectional cut off marks as well.

UPSC provide the cut off marks along with the final result of CDS examination. This cut off is based on various parameters like number of vacancies, difficulty level of the question paper and   number of candidates appeared in the examination. Each section of CDS contains 100 marks and the total marks for the examination is 300. The minimum qualifying marks dedicated to each section is 20% of the total marks. So, it becomes compulsory for candidates to score a minimum of 60 marks to qualify the exam. However, the merit list is prepared on the basis of cut off marks and the candidates need to score above the minimum qualifying marks to get a good rank in the merit list. The expected cut-off is purely based on our questions analysis & on the basis of it you can make a rough idea about the actual cut-off. We will advice to those candidates who feel that they might secure the expected cut off marks that they should start preparing for SSB interview.
