A Navy officer who was on vacation in Chennai died after drowning at Kovalam beach. The authorities gave this information on Friday. The officer’s body was fished on Friday from Kelambakkam, about five kilometers from the spot where he was washed away in the sea.
A release issued by the Defense Office said that Lieutenant Commander of the Indian Navy JR Suresh was washed away on the Kovalam beach on the outskirts of Chennai on the evening of 25 November 2021. The officer’s body was recovered from Kelambakkam in the afternoon on November 26.

The officer was posted in New Delhi and had come to Kovalam vacation with his family, the release said. Their search operation was going on since they were flown on the beach.
