India’s first woman pilot Avani Chaturvedi to fly Indian Sukhoi fighter jet
Su-30MKI pilot Squadron Leader Chaturvedi will be assigned to the Veer Guardian 2023 in Japan. First female fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF), squadron commander Avani Chaturvedi, will participate in the inaugural air exercise Veer Guardian 2023. The goal of the exercise is to improve air defence cooperation between Japan and India.
Veer Guardian 2023 in Japan
From January 16 to January 26, Veer Guardian 2023 will take conducted in Japan at the Sayama Iruma Air Base, Omitama Hyakuri Air Base, and surrounding airspace.
According to Avani Chaturvedi’s classmate and one of the first three female fighter pilots, Squadron Leader Bhawana Kanth, the Su-30MKIs employed by the Indian Air Force are among the best and most deadly platforms equipped with indigenous weapon systems.
