Indian Army performed a display of Centurion Tanks PT-76, 75/24 and OT-62 Topaz Tanks during the Republic Day Parade on Wednesday. These tanks were used in 1971 during the war between India and Pakistan. These guns had contributed significantly to the victory of the Indian Army. This year is also being celebrated as Golden Victory Year. It was only after this war that Bangladesh was separated from Pakistan and a new country was formed.
On the occasion of Republic Day, Indian Army displayed PT-76 tank, Centurion tank, two MBT Arjun MKI tanks, one OT-62 Topaz tank. Not only this, two Dhanush tanks, a PMS Bridget system were also shown during the parade. Two Sarvatra Brigade systems, one HT-16 Electronic Warfare System, two Taran Shakti Electronics Systems, Tiger Cat missile systems, two Akash missiles were also displayed by the Indian Army during the Republic Day Parade.
