Indian Navy fighter pilot commander Nishant Singh was given a final farewell in Goa with full military honors. Last Friday, the squadron’s commanding office handed over the tricolor and her husband’s uniform to Nishant Singh’s wife Nayab Randhawa. The martyr’s body was found on 7 December, 30 miles off the coast of Goa, after a continuous search operation for 11 days. Nishant lost his life in the MiG-29 accident on 26 November.

Nishant along with his associate commander flew from MiG-29 on November 26 at 5 pm, which crashed in the Arabian Sea. His associate commander was rescued. However, the search for Nishant Singh continued for several days. His body was finally recovered after an 11-day intensive search operation.

Nishant got married in May this year. Addressing his senior in a letter seeking marriage permission, Nishant wrote, “I am about to bomb you, but a nuclear bomb is going to fall on me (of marriage).” Everything is closed due to Corona, so their parents will bless them on ‘Zoom’. Just as they (CO) and their partners have climbed the wedding altar, they are also going to climb “.

Commander Nishant Singh is no longer among us, but he will live forever in our memories. TDA salutes martyr Commander Nishant Singh. Jai Hind !
