Army Chief General MM Narwane takes stock of operational preparations on North-East Border

Army Chief General MM Narwane on Tuesday reviewed the Army’s operational preparedness along the northern borders as well as the Army’s counter-insurgency operations in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. Officials gave this information.

General Narwane reached Dimapur in Nagaland on Monday on his three-day visit to various areas under the Army’s Eastern Command to review the operational preparedness of the army. The Eastern Command has responsibility for security along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh, as well as in Sikkim’s sectors.
