13th round of talks between India and China today

India and China will hold talks in Moldo, China in the 13th round of corps commander talks today (on Sunday) to resolve the border dispute in eastern Ladakh. The two countries will also discuss the third phase of the complete withdrawal of troops from the areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh (Military Talks).

The talks have been scheduled two months after the two countries withdrew troops from the Friction Patrolling Point (PP) 17A at Gogra on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. It is to be known that the process of withdrawal of troops was done over two days on August 4 and 5, 2021. Soldiers of both the countries are now stationed at their respective permanent bases. This move came to the fore soon after the 12th round of talks between the Corps Commanders on July 31, 2021.

Earlier, the detachments of two giants of the Himalayan region had left both sides of Pangong Tso in February this year. The border dispute between India and China has been going on for the last 16 months.
