This day provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of the consumer movement, as well as the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities.

The objective of the Consumer Protection Act is to provide effective protection to consumers against various forms of exploitation such as defective goods, reduction in services and unfair trade practices. This day is celebrated so that consumers can be made aware of their rights and in addition, they can complain if they are victims of fraud, black marketing etc.

This national tradition of celebrating National Consumer Rights Day, which has been going on continuously since the year 2000, aims that every consumer of the nation should be aware and aware of their rights. This year the theme of National Consumer Rights Day is ‘Permanent Consumer’.
