It’s terrible that all we are listening now a days is the horrific pandemic spreading world-wide. The outbreak of Corona Virus or called COVID-19 has worsened. As per media speculations, the number of positive cases in India itself has reached a mark of 271. However, the figure by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as of today is below 200 with four deaths.
In midst of all these, considering the safety of candidates and following the advisory issued by the government, most defence exams including AFSB and SSB Interviews have been postponed.
Recently, Indian Army has postponed its SSB Interview following the pandemic situation. Indian Air Force has cancelled AFSB Interview. Indian Air Force Airmen (Group X and Y) exam has been cancelled. As per reports, NDA exam will also be postponed due to COVID-19. Here we are providing the list the list of defence exams affected due to the corona virus.
List Of Defence Exams Postponed Due To Corona Virus :
Reporting Of New Cadres At OTA Chennai
Indian Army has postponed the reporting of new cadres at OTA Chennai for SSC April 2020 course till further notice. The official notice regarding this reads, “Reporting of SSC (April 2020) course (Men & Women) has been deferred for SSC (NT) -111, SSC (TECH)-54, SSCW (NT & TECH)- 25, SSC (NCC) SPL (MEN & WOMEN)-47, SSC (JAG) (MEN & WOMEN)-24 due to corona virus.”
AFSB Interview
AFSB Dehradun, Varanasi, Mysore, Gandhinagar have cancelled AFSB Interview following the outbreak of Corona virus.
SSB Interview of Indian Army
Indian Army has cancelled Service Selection Board (SSB) interview for all its exam. The decision has been taken following the increasing cases of corona virus in India.
SSB Interview of Indian Navy
Indian navy has sent an email to candidates regarding SSB Interview. The interview has been suspended till further notice.
Indian Air Force Airmen (Group X & Y) Exam Date 2020
The Indian Air Force Airmen (Group X and Y) exam scheduled to be conducted from 19 March to 23 March has been postponed. The official notice reads, “In view of the outbreak of Coronavirus, various government advisories and section 144 at many places, STAR (01/2020) scheduled from March 19 to 23 is postponed to last week of April.”
JK Police Constable PET/PST Date 2020 Postponed
JK Police Constable (Men & Women) PET/PST exam date has been postponed. The official notice reads, “All those candidates from Jammu and Samba districts who have applied for the post of Constable is informed that PET/PST which was scheduled to be conducted from March 14 to 21 has been postponed owing to the prevailing COVID-19.”
ITBP Constable Tradesman Exam Date 2020
The written test for CT (Tradesman) in ITBP has been postponed. The official notice reads, “We regret to inform you that written test for CT (Tradesman)-2017 in ITBP is postponed to limit the spread of COVID-19. Fresh date for written test will be intimated to candidates in due course of time.”
